Background Information
The Early Years was founded by Maureen Bergdahl in 1993. Maureen has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Penn State University and has over 30 years of experience in the profession. She has successfully opened 6 centers, 3 of which continue today. Maureen's philosophy is that each child is unique and has the need to be nurtured and given the experience to grow. Which we strive for at The Early Years.
Our Mission
The Early Years accepts all children without regard to race religion, disability, national origin, or sex. We are committed to the development of the total child; emotionally, intellectually, and physically. These goals are met through experiences that are suited to the maturity level and growth pattern of each child. We strive to accomplish this through a supportive,and safe environment. We believe that it is important to develop self-confidence and self-discipline in the beginning of a child's life. Through this the child will learn responsibility and independence which is essential for the child's future. The child will also be able to develop in listening, will have a better attention span,and will be better at following directions. We believe that a positive self-image and ego will help your child enter all areas of learning, development with confidence and enthusiasm. The children will be able to accomplish this through exploring, discovering, and creativity. We believe that children are our future!!!!!!!!!!!
